Last night (Thursday 14th May), Oban Bay Hotel was crowned Scotland’s ‘Best Coastal Hotel’ at the highly regarded Prestige Awards.
The four-star hotel, located on the Corran Esplanade, scooped one of the top honours at the national awards ceremony.
General Manager Marc Gardner who has run the Oban hotel for seven years, picked up the accolade on behalf of the team. The hotel was also highly commended and won second place for the Best Afternoon Tea in Scotland category.
Marc was also shortlisted in the highly competitive category, Best General Manager.
The iconic hotel, which is popular with guests looking for a base to explore Scotland’s west coast, is part of Crerar Hotels Group which has a collection of 10 hotels and inns across Scotland and the Lake District.

The Scotland’s Prestige Awards were created to showcase and reward outstanding service within the hotel industry with all winners voted by the public.
