Scottish supplier Farne Salmon is expanding its already popular Tesco Finest salmon range with the launch of its newest, most elevated collection yet. Exclusively available in Tesco stores across UK the expanded range delivers a step up in provenance and craft.
Farne’s new smoked salmon range – which launched in Tesco stores on 23 March – includes Truffle Smoked Salmon, Triple Smoked Salmon, Cold Brew Coffee infused Smoked Salmon, Cherry and Alderwood Smoked Salmon.
The salmon is responsibly sourced from the Shetland Isles, a region globally recognised for clean, cold waters, known for producing a firmer texture and cleaner taste, and the bespoke new range also uses a more tailored curing process – ‘a signature cure’, designed to enhance flavour depth.
Founded in 1982, Farne – which is based in Duns – has grown from a small operation into one of Europe’s largest smoked salmon producers, and is one of the Scottish Borders’ major employers, with around 700 employees.
Part of the Labeyrie Fine Foods Group, Farne prides itself in producing locally sourced and delicious smoked salmon, with the company boasting decades of experience and expertise in smokery.
Since its launch more than 40 years ago, Farne has since mastered the art of smokery through the use of traditional smoking techniques and modern kiln technology.
