Embracing the carnival atmosphere, the team at Specsavers were delighted to join in the celebrations when professional dancers from around the world set the tempo for the Brunswick Centre World Dance Fest.
Visitors to the Centre in Bloomsbury were enthralled to watch demonstrations of the Tango, vibrant Salsa, Mid-West Line Dancing to the high energy of break dancing and the lively footwork of The London Irish Dancers. Young and old alike were caught up in this lively, fun event.
Afterwards the audience were invited to join in learning some key signature moves from the professional dancers, with prizes offered for stand out performances.
Recently appointed ophthalmic director at Specsavers Brunswick, Sahela Sheikh said: ‘We all joined in the festivities as the Centre was buzzing with excitement.
‘On the day the team offered cleaning services to passers-by who were wearing glasses, and had a chat about sun care for eyes, especially with the high UV during the last month or so.
‘We were also delighted to support the event donating a £130 voucher including a sight test to one of the winners of the dance competitions hosted on the day.’
Specsavers Brunswick has two sight test rooms, an audiology room, dedicated diagnostic testing areas and a specific contact lens station offering enhanced facilities to customers. It operates 14 sight clinics a week and an audiology clinic is held every Friday. Opening times are Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 6pm and Sundays from 11am until 6pm.
During an eye test, Specsavers' optometrists will assess your vision as well as check the overall health of your eyes, so it’s important to have regular eye tests, even if you aren’t experiencing any eye issues or symptoms.
As part of Specsavers’ mission to make eye health accessible to all, Specsavers also offers a Home Visits service to those that can’t leave their homes unaccompanied due to disability or illness. Specsavers Home Visits service covers more than 90% of the UK.
