The next generation of hospitality leaders have taken a significant step forward in their careers thanks to a dedicated development programme led by the award-winning hospitality group, Buzzworks.
Each of the 17 candidates who enrolled in the operator’s Management Acceleration Programme (MAP) graduated with outstanding success, following a six-month long training course aimed at building on their leadership skills.
In addition to expanding their knowledge of the business and finance aspects of the hospitality sector, the candidates also had the opportunity to enhance their coaching and relationship building skills, as well as honing their culinary techniques in the kitchen.
The course also saw the candidates present their thoughts on key management technique literature by renowned business professional Ken Blanchard during a visit to Rosebank Distillery in Falkirk, before being treated to a tour and tasting at the venue.
What’s more, the cohort successfully completed their Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 1 programme, equipping them with essential knowledge about wine and food pairings, expanding their knowledge and allowing them to provide expert recommendations to guests.
To celebrate their successful conclusion of the programme, the graduates were invited to a special ceremony at Vic’s & The Vine in Prestwick, where they were presented with certificates by Buzzworks’ training manager Gavin Goslan and Head of People, Nicola Watt.

“While my role doesn’t typically involve working within the venues, the course has given me a much clearer picture of the operational side of the business.
“It has deepened my understanding the challenges and opportunities that arise on the ground and I'm excited to apply everything I’ve learned as I continue to grow in my role.”
