The team at Specsavers New Malden got into the spirit of spreading the love during their February fundraiser in aid of The Royal Society for Blind Children (RSBC).

It was all about the children as they took part in creative activities, including colouring and word searches with artwork being displayed in the store’s shopfront during half term. Plus there was a dedicated station for the children to try on sunglasses and take a selfie, all with the aim of creating a fun, welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for all ages.

Karina Peshawaria Kamal, Specsavers New Malden’s retail director, says: ‘We had the best time celebrating with our little artists. From heart-shaped glasses to colouring sheets to sweet surprises and balloons, it’s been amazing to see so many creative smiles in store.

‘Thank you to everyone who popped in and got involved – we love bringing a little extra fun to our New Malden community, especially for the kids.’

Optometrist director Bhavisha Patel comments: ‘We’re very grateful to the generosity of our customers and the team for their donations. We’re delighted to have raised over £120 towards such a worthy cause, plus raising awareness of the invaluable services The Royal Society for Blind Children provides for blind and partially sighted children, young people and their families.’

Specsavers New Malden has been serving the community for the last 24 years, providing access to sight and hearing services, including enhanced eye care services such as the management of red eyes and dry eyes, flashers and floaters.

During an eye test, Specsavers' optometrists will assess your vision as well as check the overall health of your eyes, so it’s important to have regular eye tests, even if you aren’t experiencing any eye issues or symptoms.
