Young footballers in West Lothian are feeling the support of their community after receiving brand-new training jackets thanks to the generosity of Specsavers.
The opticians and audiology business, based at the Regent Centre in the town, donated £1,000 to Linlithgow Rose Girls U14s team, helping to kit them out with new outerwear for the upcoming season.
The donation is the latest example of the store’s ongoing commitment to supporting grassroots sport and youth development in the local area.
Diana Kelly, store director at Specsavers in Linlithgow, says: ‘It’s been a real pleasure to support Linlithgow Rose Girls over the years and see the team go from strength to strength.
‘We’re proud to continue backing such an inspiring club in our community and we hope this latest round of kits helps encourage even more girls in the area to get involved in the beautiful game.’
Morag Grant, secretary of Linlithgow Rose Community Football Club Girls’ Section, adds: ‘We’d like to say a huge thank you to Specsavers for their generous sponsorship of the Linlithgow Rose Girls Section.
‘Their support plays a vital role in helping us to grow girls’ football locally and to inspire more young women to get involved.
‘With their backing, we're building a stronger, more inclusive future for the sport, one girl at a time.’
