Leading Scottish hospitality operator Buzzworks recently brought together its talented team of head chefs from their flagship Scotts restaurants for a dynamic brand food development day, aimed at creating a range of new dishes for its highly anticipated spring/summer menus.

The event, held at Scotts Largs, focused on enhancing creativity, strengthening the brand’s culinary identity, and maintaining a consistently high-quality dining experience across all locations in Ayrshire and South Queensferry.

This collaborative approach allowed chefs and general managers to bring their own ideas to the table and work together to create a range of new dishes blending talents and collaborating and presenting creations. From succulent smoked duck and rosemary rump of lamb to delicate King scallops, smoked salmon tartare and perfectly charred squid, guests can expect lots of fresh flavours this season.

Craig Gordon, Operational Head Chef, is leading the project from Buzzworks’ culinary team. The 38-year-old from Irvine, who has been with the hospitality operator for over 10 years, now supports several Buzzworks venues including Scotts Troon, Largs and Greenock, crafting menus and supporting kitchen teams across the brand.

Craig’s passion and dedication to his role can be seen at recent Love Food Feel Good events that he has hosted, showcasing seafood, game dinners and steak demonstrations.

He said: “We wanted to give our Scotts teams the opportunity to have a voice, and to put forward dishes they feel passionate about. This gives chefs the chance to take ownership and be creative.

“I’ve always had a love for menu development, and now other chefs get to share in that experience by taking the dishes at Scotts to the next level.
