Balmoral Arms, one of Ballater’s much-loved inns, has established a new fortnightly tradition with live music in its 1852 restaurant.

Guests staying at the inn or locals looking to indulge in a taste of Scotland can enjoy live entertainment in the popular, restaurant and bar, 1852, every second Thursday.

Paul Anderson who plays traditional music will be playing for guests as they dine or enjoy a tipple on the following dates from 7pm to 9pm:

-        2nd October

-        16th October

-        30th October

Due to its popularity since it was introduced last month, there is a possibility, Paul and other rotating musicians will play in the lounge to accommodate a bigger audience.

1852 is a classic Scottish brasserie and grill which gives guests a true taste of Royal Deeside, using local produce from Ballater and the Cairngorms.

Head Chef Tamarin Van Zyl leads the culinary team at Balmoral Arms, across both 1852 Scottish Brasserie & Grill and The Ghillies Bar which is a casual offering for drinks and hearty dishes.

Dayle Nicholl, General Manager at Balmoral Arms, said: “If you’re looking for an evening of fine dining, a large selection of drinks and excellent entertainment then I would encourage visitors to join us at one of our busiest times – a Thursday, now with live music.

“We have been fortunate to have Paul, Alastair McDougall and Ian Murray, very talented local musicians, perform at Balmoral Arms and the feedback we’ve had from guests is fantastic so far.

“We wanted to create something special – a midweek escape where our guests and the community can unwind with great music, food, and drinks. Whether you're staying the night or just stopping by, Thursday nights at Balmoral Arms promise good vibes and great music.”

Guests can enjoy the fortnightly live music shows on Thursday 2nd, 16th and 30th October and every fortnight thereafter from 7 – 9pm for free when dining at 1852.
